Harsimrat Kaur Badal takes oath as minister in the new cabinet.

Thaawar Chand Gehlot is a Rajya Sabha member from Madhya Pradesh, and is 2nd member of Upper House to be sworn in so far (after Nirmala Sitharaman).
Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishant, former CM of Uttarakhand, is the BJP member of Parliament from Haridwar. He has been sworn in as Cabinet minister.

Ram Vilas Paswan, BJP’s 1st ally, to take oath

Ram Vilas Paswan takes the oath as Cabinet minister. The Lok Janshakti Party chief is the first ally of the BJP to be sworn in at the grand event being held at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Amit Shah, the BJP president, takes the oath of office after Narendra Modi and Rajnath Singh.

Amit Shah contested the Lok Sabha elections for the first time this election from Gandhinagar and won with a huge margin.

Following his win, Amit Shah on Wednesday resigned from Rajya Sabha.

Narendra Modi took the oath of office and secrecy at the Rashtrapati Bhawan. He took the oath of office in Hindi.

Cheers and a thunderous applause breaks out after Modi takes the oath of office. A record number of 8,000 guests are attending PM Modi’s swearing-in ceremony.

The guest list includes heads of several neighbouring countries, chief ministers of most of the states and Bollywood stars.
