Ponty Chadha Foundation Cup culminates on a high note

The PCF Cup is an initiative of Ponty Chadha Foundation in association with Citiskape Mediacom and is first of its kind tournament with an aim to provide a platform for the corporate sports enthusiasts to showcase their talent.

New Delhi: PCF Cup-Football, a leading corporate football tournament concluded today on a high note. The closing ceremony was a moment of pride as the tournament served as a rich platform for young and aspiring players to showcase their talent. During the closing ceremony, football players were celebrated and applauded for their endeavour in presence of noted and renowned personalities.

The final face-off of the tournament was between TSC and Wave Group. TACC emerged as the winner and was adjudged the Champion. Both teams put their best foot forward to outperform each other and displayed strong captainship and character on the field. Team Wave gave the rivals TSC a run for money but the latter emerged victorious by scoring the last goal.

About 12 teams, apparently from the corporate giants, participated in the tournament namely Wave Group, Dabur, Innovasors, Barclays, Acquisory, Adobe, Nostriarch, TSC, Jovenes Sports, i-energiser, Creator’s Gurukul and La Liga. The format of the tournament has been designed in a manner that it boosts networking opportunities for all the professionals involved.

On the occasion, Mr HS Kandhari, Director – Finance (Real Estate) Wave Group said, “the main objective of PCF Cup is to create awareness about importance of sports in our daily lives. It’s especially more important for working class who spend most of their lives in stress and tension.”

“We have initiated this campaign in the corporate sector. We tend to extend this campaign to social bodies, government organisations and many other fields. It has been a constant endeavour of Ponty Chadha Foundation to uplift people. Currently, we are working in the field of skill development, education, health and nutrition,” he added.

In near future, Half-Marathon and School Olympics will be organised. Its major purpose would be to expand its reach to international players.
