Rahul Gandhi discusses food, travel, marriage plans in candid chat with Kamiya Jani (WATCH)

New Delhi: Rahul Gandhi shared a video of a candid conversation with Kamiya Jani, who runs a food and travel channel names ‘Curly Tales’ on YouTube. Kamiya is known for interesting conversations with celebrities over food and this time she got to interview Rahul Gandhi in Rajasthan over dinner during Bharat Jodo Yatra. Kamiya asked Rahul about food, travel, his marriage plans and other such topics.

Kamiya asked Rahul about his food preferences and he replied that he does not like peas and jackfruit. He added that he is very particular about his food at home but during Bharat Jodo Yatra he does not have many choices. Talking about local cuisines tried during the Yatra, Rahul Gandhi said that Telangana was ‘a bit spicy’ for him.

When asked about food cooked at home, Rahul replied that there is ‘desi’ food for lunch and continental for dinner, but he takes a controlled diet which is ‘boring’, to which Kamiya joked about his taking a diet for abs. The host said that according to her sources, Rahul Gandhi can eat 8-10 ice creams at once to which he refuted and said that it is one or two usually.

When asked about childhood and schooling, Rahul said that he had to be home-schooled because of his grandmother’s assassination and it came as a shock. He added that at school some teachers were overly nice to him while others were ‘nasty’ and that was due to his family’s ‘pro-poor position’.

Talking about diving into the waters in Kerela, Rahul told that he did diving in Florida and also does free-diving. Kamiya asked him about his first job to which Rahul replied that his first job was in London for Monitor Company and his first paycheck was 2500-3000 pounds.

During the rapid-fire round, Kamiya asked Rahul three things he would do if he becomes the Prime Minister of India, to which he said that he would transform the education system, help people with production and protect people going through a rough time.

Talking about the marriage plan, Rahul said if the ‘right girl’ comes, he will marry her. He added that he just wants a ‘loving and intelligent’ person.
