Rahul Gandhi to join protesting farmers in Punjab and Haryana, series of roadshow from Oct 2

Apart from Rahul Gandhi, several senior Congress leaders like Captain Amarinder Singh, Harish Rawat, Sunil Jakhar, party president PPCC are set to lend their support to the farm-bill protests.

New Delhi: Farmers in Punjab and Haryana are organizing protests and roadshows against the recent agricultural legislations approved by the Parliament. Rahul Gandhi, who has been harshly critical of the farm bills, is set to join the agitating farmers in slamming the Modi government.

Rahul Gandhi has termed farm laws as anti-farmer and also claimed that they will serve as a ‘stab in farmer’s hearts’.

Punjab Congress is organising a road show from Oct 02 to Oct 04, 2020, in protest against the Farm Acts.

Apart from Rahul Gandhi, several senior Congress leaders like Captain Amarinder Singh, Harish Rawat, Sunil Jakhar, party president PPCC are set to lend their support to the farm-bill protests.

Oct 02: The road show will start with a public meeting from Badhni Kalan, Nihalsinghwala, Moga and conclude at Raikot, Ludhiana with another public meeting.

Oct 03: The road show will start with a public meeting from Dhuri, Sangrur and conclude at Samana Mandi, Patiala with another public meeting.

Oct 04: The road show will start with a public meeting from Devigarh, Patiala and conclude at Haryana border with another public meeting.

From there, the Haryana Congress would take the roadshow further and will conclude it at Delhi.
