Morning showers bring respite from heat in Delhi-NCR, more rains likely
New Delhi: The national capital and adjoining regions witnessed a pleasant weather on Wednesday morning as it received moderate amount of rainfall, thereby bringing the temperature down. The minimum temperature was down to 27 degrees Celsius (28 in some places) from Monday’s 43-45 degrees, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
The sky was likely to remain generally cloudy throughout the day with one or more spells of rain or thundershowers, an IMD official said.
The maximum temperature of the city is likely to remain around 32 degree Celsius while the minimum is likely to stay around 27 degrees.

It also added that very heavy rain is very likely to occur on Wednesday at isolated places over East Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Odisha, Konkan and Goa Coastal Karnataka.

The weather office has also forecast the possibility of heavy rain at isolated places over Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Madhya Maharashtra, North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, south interior Karnataka and Kerala.
”Thunderstorm accompanied with squall very likely to occur in Delhi and its neighbouring states,” the Met office said.

IMD prediction for June 28
For Thursday, the Met Department has forecast heavy to very heavy rain at isolated places over Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Coastal Karnataka.

On Tuesday, India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted heavy rain across different states including Delhi for the next three days.
