New Delhi: 10 District Reserve Guard (DRG) personnel and one driver were killed in an IED attack by Naxals in Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada. PM Modi condemned the attack and paid his condolences to the families of the martyred. He also paid tribute to the brave soldiers and their sacrifice.
Sharing a tweet, PM Modi wrote that he condemns the attack on the Chhattisgarh police. He added and paid tributes to the ‘brave personnel’ the nation lost in the attack and wrote that their sacrifice will always be remembered.

Reportedly, an IED attack took place on a vehicle carrying DRG personnel near Aranpur and the driver, who got killed was a civilian. The 11 bodies evacuated from the spot and senior officers took the command to lead a search operation in the area.
Reports suggest that the IED was planted by Naxals and the statements from CM Bhupesh Baghel have also suggested the same.
State police also released the names of the 10 SRG personnel and the civilian who lost their lives.

Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel expressed condolences and addressing the media he said that the fight is in its last stage and the Naxals would not be spared. He also talked to the Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Centre said that they will provide all the required support to Chhattisgarh government.

Amit Shah also paid his condolences to the families and expressed his anguish and called it a ‘cowardly attack’.
