Section 144 imposed in Gautam Budh Nagar, including Noida due to rising covid cases

New Delhi: Owing to rising COVID-19 infections, the district administration of Gautam Budh Nagar imposed a Section 144 CrPC on Sunday. The rule will in effect from May 1 to 31 in the district.

Till section 144 ends, everyone will have to masks in public places, according to Police Commissionerate.

The statement of the Police Commissionerate of the district, ”No one should be allowed to conduct any protest or hunger strike without the permission of the higher authorities.”

During section 144, the district administration has said organising puja and offering Namaz in public places will not be allowed.

The statement released by the Police Commissinerate,” Social distancing in schools during the exams has to be maintained with proper COVID-19 guidelines.”

According to the order, anyone is not allowed to use the loudspeakers on the premises and nearby areas of the exam centers.

To strengthen the rule, shopkeepers who sell or rent loudspeakers or any such equipment have been asked to abstain from it. They may sell or rent loudspeakers after taking permission from the higher authorities.

As per the ministry, the active caseload of India reached 19,092.
