Security forces apprehend Chinese soldier in Ladakh, to be handed back

India-China standoff: China moves back some troops, vehicles to depth areas in Galwan Valley

New Delhi: A Chinese soldier has been apprehended by security forces in Chumar-Demchok area of Ladakh on Monday. Sources revealed that the soldier of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) might have entered into the Indian territory “inadvertently”. He will be returned to Chinese Army as per established protocol after following due procedure.

According to reports, the soldier was carrying civil and military documents and is currently being questioned by the Indian Army to ascertain if he was on an espionage mission.
