Karnal:  Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will form the government for the third term with a majority in the Haryana assembly elections.

“After seeing the love and support of people, I can say that the BJP will form the government for the third term with the majority in the state…I will file my nomination on the 10th,” the Chief Minister told reporters.

Earlier, launching a blistering attack on the speculated alliance of Congress and AAP for the 2024 Haryana Assembly elections, CM Saini said on Thursday that both parties are completely indulged in corruption and just want to fill their pockets.

He pointed out that Congress and AAP both are corrupt parties. There were scams during the Congress era, and Aam Aadmi party came to power saying that it was a corruption-free party, but unfortunately both the corrupt parties have joined their hands. Their agenda is not to work for the welfare of the people of Haryana; their agenda is to indulge in corruption and fill their pockets

Meanwhile, the BJP also initiated a “Jan Samvad” campaigning programme in the state just ahead of the Assembly polls. BJP leaders and in-charges of Haryana have been given the responsibility to hold public dialogue with the people and give information about the public interest schemes of the government.

The government will make all the answers to the questions related to the beneficiaries available to the public domain. An introduction booklet will also be prepared, which will be distributed among the people.

The voting for the 90-member legislative assembly in Haryana will be held on October 5, with the last date for filing nominations being September 12. The counting of votes will take place on October 8.

On August 31, the Election Commission of India (ECI) revised the polling date for the Haryana Assembly elections from October 1 to October 5, and moved the counting of votes for both the Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana assemblies from October 4 to October 8.
