New Delhi: Shark Tank India, which was an unexpected smash with the Indian audience and pushed its sharks to fame, will return with a second season soon. Sony Entertainment Television dropped a teaser for the forthcoming season on their official social media handles on Saturday.
The commercial begins with an optimistic employee attempting to gain favor with his employer in order to secure funding for his business idea. The nasty boss, on the other hand, makes fun of him. “Stop beating on the wrong door for investment,” says a voiceover. After the huge success of the first season, Shark Tank India is back with a new season.”
The trailer depicts how sharks Ashneer Grover, Anupam Mittal, Aman Gupta, Vineeta Singh, Namita Thapar, Ghazal Alagh, and Peyush Bansal funded around Rs 42 crore in the program after selecting from a large population of over 85000 candidates. The next season’s signup is also now open.
The return of the show caught the interest of fans. “OMG, I’m so pumped. Everyone can declare it’s one of the best series on Earth,” a fan wrote.
“Please telecast Shark Tank in other countries as well. It will be more fascinating than the present tv dramas,” another person wrote.
Entrepreneurs would pitch their startups to a panel of ‘sharks’ on Shark Tank, appealing for money in return for equity in their company. The presentation had several interesting concepts as well as a few that were plain stupid. The sharks, their entertaining reactions, and even their surprise at strange things became social media memes.
Ashneer is renowned for his harsh no-nonsense attitude, Anupam for his kindness, Namita for regularly rejecting to invest in a project owing to her “lack of competence,” and Aman for his Bollywood connections.
