New Delhi: Seven eminent personalities including former Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe and musical maestro SP Balasubramaniam have been honoured with Padma Awards, one of the highest civilian awards conferred by the President on the eve of Republic Day every year.
These awards are given for disciplines or fields of activities such as art, social work, public affairs, science and engineering, trade and industry, medicine, literature and education, sports and civil service.
