Sonali Phogat was murdered by her associates, alleges BJP Leader’s brother, files complaint with Goa police

Sonali's elder sister also said that at around 11:00 pm she was feeling uneasy and had complained about food.  Also, during a phone call, Sonali had informed her mother that she was getting messy after eating.  Hours before her sudden demise, she had had updated her Twitter display picture and had shared a videos of herself on Instagram. In the new picture that she had shared, she can be seen flaunting her pink dupatta. Who was Sonali Phogat? Sonali Phogat, hailed from Haryana. She had contested the last assembly election from Haryana's Adampur constituency on a BJP ticket against Kuldeep Bishnoi. Sonali had also participated in the reality show 'Bigg Boss' in 2020. In 2016, she had made her acting debut with the TV show 'Amma: Ek Maa Jo Laakhon Ke Liye Bani Amma'. In 2019, Sonali Phogat was also a part of the web series, 'The Story Of Badmashgarh.' 

New Delhi: BJP leader Sonali Phogat’s brother has alleged that she was murdered. Sonali’s brother has filed a formal complaint with Goa Police, claiming that she was murdered by two of her associates.

In the complaint, Sonali Phogat’s brother, Rinku Dhaka, has alleged that hours before her death, Phogat had spoken to her mother, sister and brother-in-law when she complained against her two colleagues and said that there was something fishy.

Her brother has also claimed that the CCTV cameras, laptop and other important things from her farmhouse in Haryana have gone missing after her death.

Phogat, 42, the BJP leader from Haryana’s Hisar rose to fame on Tik Tok, was brought dead at St Anthony Hospital at Anjuna in North Goa on Tuesday morning, said police official.

Her family members had arrived in Goa on Tuesday night. Sonali’s brother in his complaint with Anjuna police, Dhaka claimed that two of Phogat’s associates murdered her in Goa.

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday said that the preliminary reports suggest BJP leader and actor Sonali Phogat died of cardiac arrest.

The Goa Police also released a press statement, in which he said that “unnatural death has been registered in connection with the death of Sonali Phogat.”

In 2019, Sonali Phogat had contested the Haryana assembly election from Adampur constituency on a BJP ticket and lost to Kuldeep Bishnoi, who was then with Haryana Janhit Congress.

In 2020, she also appeared in the reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ in 2020.
