New Delhi: The CISF is set to deploy 150 personnel of various ranks along with one supervisor at the RGKar Medical College and Hospital with immediate effect following the Supreme Court order. The news was corroborated by official sources before being released to the public media platforms.

The decision to deploy CISF comes a day after the decision of the Apex court. Union Home Minister Amit Shah wrote a long letter to the Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee. Subsequently, in the morning the DIG of the CISF came and had an inspection of the place where the gruesome crime had taken place. According to official sources, the CISF is set to take charge of the resident doctors’ hostel and other facilities.

The medic’s body was found in the seminar room of RG Kar. According to sources, deep involvement of the Kolkata Police and the Civic Police which is an administrative arrangement brought by ‘didi’ herself. The Civic Police has especially come under intense scrutiny after Mamata Banerjee decided to increase the DA to Rs 6000 from Rs 5300.
Naturally, with a deep distrust of the state authorities, the Supreme Court of India has given directives to the central machinery to restore law and order in RG Kar and the surrounding areas.
