The order also mentions that there shall be no restriction on inter-state and intra-state movement of persons and goods.

New Delhi: The ministry of home affairs has announced a detailed guideline of Unlock 5, to be effective from October 1. Schools and colleges will be allowed to reopen from October 15, the Centre said today, announcing the next phase of lifting of coronavirus-related restrictions.

Despite a steep rise in the number of Covid-19 cases in the country, the home ministry has made it clear that there would be more relaxations and fewer restrictions, though local administrations in some states are heavily relying on voluntary curfew, local lockdowns etc.

Multiplexes whole-heartedly welcome move to open cinemas

The Multiplex Association of India has whole-heartedly welcomed the move to throw open the cinema halls and multiplexes from October 15.

Extending its gratitude to the Ministry of Home Affairs and I&B for granting permission to open the cinema halls, it said that they are committed to ensure a safe, secure and hygienic cinema going experience for all the movie buffs in the country.
