New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished all fellow Indians on Republic Day. To mark the occassion, he took on Twitter to wish the public. The PM wrote that this time the occassion of Republic Day is special because India is celebarating the Amrit Mahotsav (75 years) of its independence. He asked everyone to unite and move forward to fulfill the dreams of the people who fought for the nation’s independence.
गणतंत्र दिवस की ढेर सारी शुभकामनाएं। इस बार का यह अवसर इसलिए भी विशेष है, क्योंकि इसे हम आजादी के अमृत महोत्सव के दौरान मना रहे हैं। देश के महान स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों के सपनों को साकार करने के लिए हम एकजुट होकर आगे बढ़ें, यही कामना है।

Yesterday, he also congratulated all the 106 Padma awardees announced by the President of India Droupadi Murmu and wrote that India cherishes their contributions and efforts in growth of the country.

Addressing the National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets and National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers, PM Modi mentioned the role of youth in the resolution of ‘pride in our heritage’ and ‘freedom from the mentality of slavery’. He talked about the Swachh Bharat Campaign and also asked the young citizens of the country to read at least one book on freedom fighters during the Amrit Mahotsav.
PM will be at the National Parade at Kartavya Path on January 26. A day ago, he and President Murmu welcomed the chief guest of the Republic Day parade, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. PM Modi also had talks with the chief guest.
