New Delhi: In some unfortunate news coming from Uttarakhand’s Uddham Singh Nagar, the chief of Nanakmatta Gurudwara kar Sewa Baba Tarsem Singh is shot dead by unidentified gunmen inside the dera at around 6.30 am in the morning. He was rushed to the hospital but was declared brought dead by the doctors. According to the Additional Director General of Police, two men came on a bike and fired gunshots at the chief of Nanakmatta Gurudwara Kar Sewa Baba Tarsem Singh. Police have formed special teams to nab the killers. The Nanakmatta Gurudwara holds special significance for sikhs in the area.

Who was Baba Tarsem Singh? 

Nanakmatta Gurudwara kar Sewa Chief was serving in the Gurudwara for many years. He was actively involved in all the events of the Gurudwara like Langar, and other processions and rituals of the Gurudwara. He used to take care of all the Social events and day today programs inside the holy temple of the sikhs. The Kar Sewa Chief was widely known by the local people of that area and used to help the poor and needy who used to visit the Gurudwara. Baba Tarsem Singh was living away from his family for a long time and was staying in the Gurudwara. However the main motive behind his killing is not known yet. Police is investigating the case.
