Uri box office collection Day 3: Vicky Kaushal film earns Rs 35.73 crore

Vicky Kaushal’s military drama Uri: The Surgical Strike is doing well at the box office. After just three days, it has minted Rs 35.73 crore. It opened at Rs 8.20 crore and earned Rs 12.43 crore on the second day. On its third day, it grossed Rs 15.10 crore.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted third day’s figures. He wrote, “#UriTheSurgicalStrike emerges the FIRST HIT of 2019… Indeed, 2019 has started with high josh… Sets the BO on 🔥🔥🔥 on Day 3… Packs a solid total in its opening weekend… Fri 8.20 cr, Sat 12.43 cr, Sun 15.10 cr. Total: ₹ 35.73 cr. India biz. #Uri #HowsTheJosh.”

Based on the surgical strikeon terror launch pads across the Line of Control, Uri: The Surgical Strike is directed by Aditya Dhar. It also stars Paresh Rawal, Mohit Raina and Yami Gautam.

Earlier, trade analyst Girish Johar had talked about Vicky Kaushal being the film’s USP, “Definitely people are looking forward to seeing Kaushal as a military officer after he delivered good performances last year. He is one of the USPs of Uri.”
