Hardik Pandya apologises after receiving flak for his comments on Koffee with Karan

New Delhi: Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya issued an apology on Wednesday after his appearance on the latest episode of Koffee With Karan drew criticism from every quarter for his ‘misogynist’, ‘sexist’, and ‘racist’ remarks.

Hardik has come forward and apologised to everyone for the choice of words used on the show. In his statement of apology, the 25-year-old has mentioned that he did not mean to hurt anyone’s sentiments and got carried away with the nature of the show.


“After reflecting on my comments on Koffee with Karan, I would like to apologise to everyone concerned who I may have hurt in a way. Honestly, I got a bit carried away with the nature of the show. In no way did I mean to disrespect of hurt anyone’s sentiments. Respect”, Hardik wrote on Twitter.

Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul have been sent show cause notices by the BCCI for their comments on women in the January 6 episode of Koffee With Karan.

“We have sent show cause notices to Hardik Pandya and K L Rahul for their comments. They have given 24 hours to give an explanation,” Committee of Administrator chief Vinod Rai told PTI.
