Bhopal: The collectorate office in Jhansi (Uttar Pradesh) may have been infiltrated by agents of the ISI, investigators suspect. The Uttar Pradesh ATS says that agents of the ISI may have set up sleeper cells in Jhansi.

The ATS has been questioning a clerk and two other employees posted at the Sadar sub-divisional magistrate’s office. The Babina Cantonment Board comes under the purview of this revenue office.

Acting on a tip off from the Intelligence Bureau, officials of the ATS landed at the office in plain clothes and took away computers and other electronic devices that included a pen drive.

The ISI agents reportedly infiltrated into the office to get crucial information. The Babina cantonment has a field firing range. The Indian Army carries out bilateral exercises with military personnel of other countries in this area.
