New Delhi: Pakistani Cricketer Soaib Malik will not play in the second edition of the T10 League starting November 21 as he wants to spend more time with his wife Sania Mirza and his newly born son Izhaan Mirza-Malik.

Eight teams — Kerala Kings, Punjab Legends, Maratha Arabians, Bengal Tigers, The Karachians, Rajputs, Northern Warriors and Pakhtoons — have been drawn into two groups to fight it out in the second Season of T10 League.

The event takes place at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium from November 21 to December 2.

Shoaib Malik was part of Punjabi Legends in the first edition of the league last year and finished the tournament as the second highest run-scorer with 191 runs from five matches.

Malik wrote on Twitter: “I announce with mixed feelings that I will not be part of @PunjabiLegends_ #T10League to spend time with my family. This was a tough decision (sp since my wife thinks I should play) but I want to be with my wife and son more than anything else. Hope you all will understand.”
