New Delhi: Bollywood Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, celebrating his 76th birthday today, said no woman should ever be subjected to any kind of misbehavior, or disorderly conduct, especially at her work place.
The senior Bachchan, or Big B, had so far been criticised of dodging questions on #MeToo movement sparked by the Tanushree Dutta – Nana Patekar row.
In an interview on the eve of his birthday, he finally gave his opinion on the current hottest topic that has already engulfed some big names in the industry.

In the interview to IANS, he said, “No woman should ever be subjected to any kind of misbehavior, or disorderly conduct, especially at her work place. Such acts should immediately be brought to the notice of concerned authorities, and corrective measures be taken, either through filing complaints or a recourse to law.”
He opined that discipline and civic, social and moral curriculums, should be adopted at a very early educational level.
“Women children and the weaker sections of our society are the most vulnerable. They need to be under special protective care. It has been most heartening to see women representations in most work vocations, on the increase in our country. It would be an unrepairable blemish if we are not able to provide them the welcome they deserve and the dignity of the security of their presence,” he concluded.
Big B dodges Tanushree – Nana sexual assault controversy
He had courted sharp criticism when he dodged the question on Tanushree – Nana Patekar sexual assault controversy.
“Neither I am Tanushree, Nor am I Nana. So, I cannot say anything on this,” he had said when asked to comment on the controversy.
Tanushree has claimed that in 2008 on the sets of ‘Horn OK Pleassss’, she was ordered to do lewd, vulgar and intimate dance steps with Nana Patekar, something she had not signed up for. She also said that when she refused to do it, her car was attacked by a bunch of goons, allegedly called by Patekar.
