1st ODI: India, West Indies match abandoned due to rain
Port of Spain: First ODI of the five-match series between India and West Indies has been called off due to persistent rain at Queen’s Park Ovalin in Port of Spain.
India were 199 for 3 in 39.2 overs when play was officially called off in the capital of Trinidad and Tobago.
Earlier, West Indies won the toss and elected to bowl first. The Indian openers got a good start. Both Shikhar Dhawan scored 87 while Ajinkya Rahane made 62 runs.
The second match of the series will be played at this same venue tomorrow.
