New Delhi: The Indian contingent is on their way to creating history in the 4th Asian Para Games in Hangzhou, China, as they are now only 1 medal away from touching the magical 100 overall medals mark.
India started their day 5 with 82 medals in account and went out to add 17 more medals to take the final number to 99.
India, in the Asian Para Games 2023, sent their biggest ever contingent to compete with a total of 303 athletes, including 191 males and 112 female athletes were sent to China.
India has already broken their overall medal record of 72 medals, set in the 2018 Jakarta Asian Para Games, on day 4, and now they are just one step away from creating history by winning 100 medals in a single edition of the Asian Para Games.
India has already touched the 100-medals mark earlier in the Asian Games 2023, which also took place at the same venue. India won a total of 107 medals, including 28 gold medals at the 19th edition of the games.
