The 37-year-old has been training hard and was also seen at the Reliance Corporate Park (RCP) earlier today. The Indian skipper has been using both the RCP facilities and the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) facilities to come back to form.
As far as the travel plans to Australia, the Indian team skipper has made it clear that he will decide on the final dates only after his second child is born.
Speaking about the prolonged absence of the Indian skipper from the side, an insider from BCCI remarked:
There is no clarity yet on his departure. It all depends on how things unfold on the personal front. He is doing what any father would do at this stage, which is to stay with his wife and family. But at the same time, he is ensuring to be well-tuned for the test series and will be batting at every possible opportunity in Mumbai.
