New Delhi: World champion Novak Djokovic could have won his record 24th Grand Slam in the Wimbledon 2023 final but was outmaneuvered by his opponent Carlos Alacaraz, leaving lakhs of his fans disappointed & distraught.

The tennis champion himself couldn’t keep calm as he first saw the game slipping out of his hands and then his son among the audience made him extremely emotional during the finishing speech.

It was for the first time that Djokovic got defeated on the Centre court. And, that too after he took a lead against the rival Carlos Alcaraz. Game records show that it was the first Grand Slam in which the tennis great started trailing after winning the first set. This apparently left him upset & frustrated. To add to his woes, Alacaraz continued to dominate from the other end. At one point, the frustration level of Djokovic reached such a peak that he broke his racket in the final set.

Djokovic while going towards his seat lost his cool and hit his racket against the post, resulted in breaking into pieces. Umpire intervened & issued a warning to the Serbian player.
