Playing for Real Madrid in the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League 2016/17, Ronaldo scored an early goal in the 10th minute. He went on to score two goals in the 73rd and the 86th minutes to score a hattrick in the Madrid derby. Real Madrid went on to win the Champions League that season.
4. Maiden World Cup Hattrick (2018)
Playing for Portugal in a highly anticipated group clash with Spain in the 2018 World Cup, Ronaldo scored his maiden World Cup hattrick. He scored the first goal in the 27th minute, and in the 49th minute, Ronaldo went past two defenders to hit the ball into the goal post. Oblak attempted an incredible save but the ball crossed the line. With a penalty goal in the 86th minute, he gave his fans a moment to remember.
