New Delhi: Yuzvendra Chahal, a 31-year-old, and one of the most successful bowler for the Bengaluru-based franchise has made a shocking revelation about an unsavoury incident that had taken place when he was playing for Mumbai Indians in 2013.
In a video shared by Rajasthan Royals on Twitter, Chahal can be seen with Karun Nair and Ravichandran Ashwin. The player can be heard narrating about a shocking incident in their “comeback stories”.
In the video, he can be heard saying that not many people know about the incident that happened with him and he kept it to himself.
Chahal can be heard speaking about the narrow scape in 2013, when a drunk Mumbai Indians player hanged him from the balcony on the 15th floor of their hotel.
He further said that he fainted when others came and helped him return to the room.
He was bullied by a drunk fellow cricketer during a post-game party in Bengaluru at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2013.
He also chose to not reveal the name of the fellow player, saying that it was since then that he understood the importance of being responsible.
Recalling the incident he said that the player was staring at him for quite a long time and then he took him outside and then hung him from the balcony.
Chahal further says that ”my hands were around him, I lost my grip, I was on the 15th floor.”
Chahal played for Mumbai Indians till 2013 before moving to Royal Challengers Bangalore at his base price of Rs 10 lakh.

Now, Chahal’s fans have urged the player to name the drunk player’s name so that action can be taken against him.
@BCCI something extremely unfortunate could have happened to Yuzi! You guys are ready to sensationalize any stupid story of yours but this you turn a blind eye to! How bad does a situation have to be for you to pay heed to?@mipaltan @rajasthanroyals @RCBTweets https://t.co/Vgqm4mOdNo

(Yuzi’s story)
Bullying is the worst thing one could do which will almost paralyze the victim!
Worse are those (not the victim) who cover up the bullying! https://t.co/Ta7wfJRUsd— Divya Kulkarni (@divyayyy) April 7, 2022
Man this is a scary story.
Mumbai Lobby should call this out if they have an ounce of respect for the game, but i won’t be shocked if they would’ve actually helped in shielding this story. https://t.co/yfjaAuTBbd— . (@Nwajoker_69) April 7, 2022
