New Delhi: Breaking the world record in men’s ODI series, England scored 498-4 against Netherlands in Amstelveen on Friday where three batters scored centuries in their innings. With this gigantic score, Eoin Morgan’s team broke their own record in men’s ODI OF 481-6 played against Australia at Trent Bridge in 2018, in the first match of the three-game series.
The opener Philip Salt scored 122 runs off 93 deliveries, followed by Dawid Malan’s 125 off 109 and Jos Buttler’s unbeaten 162 off 70 balls, putting England to a record-breaking stage onboard.
However, Buttler missed his own record for the fastest England century by just one ball while Liam Livingstone, batting at number six made the fastest 50 in England’s ODI history off just 17 balls, and joined the list of second-fastest of all times.
