From shooting 10s! to Turning Down lucrative Government Jobs Sarabjot Singh keeps the hunt for gold at LA 28

Sarabjot Singh declined a government job which was offered by the Haryana government after his Paris Olympics 2024 bronze medal.

New Delhi: Sarabjot Singh seems to have fixed his eyes on Olympic gold in the upcoming edition of the Summer Olympics which is set to take place in Los Angeles 2028. The young shooter bagged the bronze medal in the mixed-team event along with Manu Bhaker. Furthermore, the young shooter was almost able to make it to the individual event of the shooting at the Paris 2024.

However, it seems that  Sarabjot is on a different mission altogether. The young shooter is vying for an Olympic gold in the multi-sporting extravaganza which is set to take place across the Atlantic in the United States of America (Los Angeles 2028).

According to reports, post his return from his Olympic run the Haryana government decided to offer him a job as a token of respect for his services to the sport and the country.

However, the Haryana shooter gracefully declined the job stating that he now wanted to focus on his shooting rather than the job which is offered. Sarabjot added that he is firm on his decision and does not want to change the same.

What did Sarabjot say about his mission ‘GOLD’?

“I am yet to achieve my main goal. Hopefully, I will complete my main goal in 2028. I used to write in my personal diary that I will give my personal best in Paris. However, I am yet to give my personal best. I want to shoot for gold in 2028.”

Where will the next Olympics take place?

The next edition of the Summer Olympics is scheduled to take place between 14th July 2028 and 30th July 2028.
