New Delhi: World Cup debutants Scotland are finding it difficult to manoeuvre through the rough sea of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024. The Kathryn Bryce-led Scotland side will come into the game against South Africa on the back of two consecutive losses against Bangladesh and West Indies.

Meanwhile, the Proteas won a thumping win against 2016 champions, West Indies. The South African team defeated the Windies by 10 wickets to register their first win of the tournament. However, the South African women’s team was defeated in the next match against the English team by 7 wickets.
Nevertheless, the strong display of bowling and batting by the Proteas has made them one of the favourites to qualify for the playoffs.
South Africa Women vs Scotland Women- Pitch Report
The Dubai pitch has turned out to be a low scorer in this year’s Women’s T20 World Cup. The pitch is slow and the boundaries are long. Naturally, scoring fours and sixes won’t be easy for any team.

If South Africa bats first, the Proteas will target a score of around 130-140 runs. Meanwhile, if Scotland bat first, they are likely to touch 120 or at max 130 provided they bat well. However, both teams will struggle if the top order fail to fire at the start of the innings.
