New Delhi: The men in blue, who already took an unassailable lead of 3-1 in the 5-match T20I series against Australia, after defeating them by 20 runs in the third T20I, will be looking to finish the series on a high.
India and Australia will square off in the fifth T20I match of the series on Sunday, at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
The men in blue came in the series to make amends for their loss in the ICC World Cup 2023, finals against the same opponents, and so far, they have been successful in doing so by taking an unassailable lead of 3-1, with one match still to go.

The men in blue also became the most successful team in T20I history, when they registered their 136th T20I win in the fourth match of the series.
On the other hand, the Aussies will be looking to get some positive out of the series by at least losing the already lost series with the minimum possible difference, i.e., 2-3.

Batters on centre stage once again
All the matches in the T20I series between the two sides have been high-scoring ones, with 5 out of 8 innings completed going above the 200-run mark.
When both the teams take the field on the batting-friendly pitch of the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, they will try to make the most of the conditions and will try to go all out with their batsmen.

India will be the favourites to win this match also, as in comparison to the Aussie batting line-up, more batsmen of the men in blue’s side are in red-hot form.
The opening pair of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad is working, while in the middle, Surya Kumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan, along with Rinku Singh, have given multiple match-winning performances in the series.

India’s bowling also looks in control with both the spinners Ravi Bishnoi and Axar Patel bowling economically and have also been successful in picking up wickets at the right time.

Australia’s misery
The immense pressure of being the World Cup winners has caught up to the Australian side as they have looked off-colour throughout the series, weather it is their bowling or batting, all have only performed in bits and pieces, and if they want to go back home with a win they need to perform exceptionally well in all the three departments.
