New Delhi: Stage is set for an epic clash between arch rivals India and Pakistan on October 23 in Australia’s Melbourne. Cricket fans are in a state of frenzy as they await high-voltage face-off Down Under.
However, reports suggest that the rains may spoil the show and India-Pak may just get washed out completely. As the rain threat looms large on India-Pakistan clash, cricket fans are getting anxious and worried about the probable washout.
While the T20 World Cup is currently underway in Australia, the continent is currently under a wet spell. According toAccuweather, the Australian metropolis is likely to receive rainfall this weekend. According to Bureau of Meterology in Australia, there are predictions of 90% precipitation in Melbourne, which means rains are most likely and if it doesn’t rain, the weather will be mostly cloudy, thus giving advantage to seamers on the Melbourne cricket ground.
The rain forecast hasn’t gone down well with the cricket fans. With the prospect of big ticket clash getting washed out due to rains, fans are taking dig at International Cricket Council (ICC) for the goof-up and ‘poor planning’.
A lot many fans have taken to Twitter to slam the ICC by posting caustic jibes and memes over potential washout.
