New Delhi: Cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni (MSD), being the most successful captain of Team India, is a man of few words. His emotionless demeanor and clinical approach on field has often been the topic of discussion in TV debates, however, it was his softer side that never got discovered.
The masterclass cricketer, in conversation with sports commentator Harsha Bhogle, himself revealed that he got teary-eyed during the first encounter with Gujarat Titans (GT) in the IPL opener.
The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper’s comments & remarks are being keenly watched by the sports fraternity as well as media, as to get a hint of his retirement from the IPL. And, he is certainly not leaving fans disappointed. His remarks laced with honour made for interesting conversation.
Last night, speaking his heart out, the cricket legend revealed that his eyes were swollen with tears in the IPL opening match where his team clashed with GT.

He said that he cried before CSK’s opener match in Ahmedabad on March 31. The charged-up crowd made him emotional while he came to field.
“It started over here and when I was playing in first game, I just walked around and the full house was chanting my name, my eyes (got) filled with water and I just stood there in the dugout for a while,” he said.
Will Dhoni play another season of IPL?
Dhoni, apparently for the first time, confirmed that he was not retiring from final.
“It’s the perfect moment for me to announce retirement,” Dhoni said.
However, he added that he felt indebted towards his CSK fans who showed unwavering love & support during his tenure and this was apparently the reason behind holding back.
“More than anything, it will be a challenge for me to return to next season,” he said in candid admission.
