New Delhi: Lucknow Super Giants are set to play their second home game at the Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium. As they face Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 7, LSG players Ayush Badoni, Karan Sharma and Mayank Yadav visited the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi to seek blessings. The video of their visit was shared on LSG TV.
The cricketers can be seen in their jerseys with garlands around their necks and ‘chandan’ (sandalwood) on their foreheads. They also carried the Super Giants’ flag to the temple. They were also spotted boating in the Ganga River.
Sharing the video, LSG wrote that no one can harm the one with blessings from Bhole Baba (Lord Shiva).

While the team started their campaign with a win over Delhi Capitals, they lost the home game against Chennai Super Kings. In the game, CSK posted 217 despite Mark Wood and Ravi Bishnoi picking three wickets each. Kyle Mayers scored a fifty and there were power-hitting cameos by Nicholas Pooran, K Gowtham and Wood, but they still lost by 12 runs.
Ayush Badoni, coming as the Impact Player, scored 23 off 18, hitting no boundaries. Moeen Ali picked four wickets to lead CSK to a victory and while everyone was getting hit, Ali and Santner contained the runs.
Badoni was clinical in the first game as he scored 18 off 7 to give a good finish to his team. On the other hand, all-rounder Karan Sharma and young pacer Mayank Yadav have not got an opportunity to play a game.
LSG will SRH in Lucknow on March 7, Friday at 7:30 pm.
