To ensure a full recovery of the Indian batsman Prime Minister Narendra Modi stepped up to monitor the entire situation.

New Delhi: Rishab Pant’s cricketing dreams took a serious hit when the left-hand batsman suffered a major accident. Pant’s inclusion in the side has been a blessing for the Indian team as the left-hander brings in the middle.

Naturally, such a talented batsman needed support at such a dark hour. To ensure a full recovery of the Indian batsman Prime Minister Narendra Modi stepped up to monitor the entire situation.

The Indian Prime Minister claimed that he had followed Rishab’s official social media handle to keep track of the entire situation. Modi’s conversation with Pant has been out recently after the two met over a formal breakfast organised by the BCCI and the Indian government.

“It’s amazing that your mother had the confidence…”- PM Modi

The conversation began with PM Modi saying, “First I had discussed with the doctors and took their opinion before speaking to your mother. I told them if he needs treatment outside India, please take him and do that.”

Modi who has always been an emotional person especially had great regard for Pant’s mother who was optimistic and confident about his son’s recovery. Moreover, Modi also said that he was very impressed by the ‘honesty’ of Rishab Pant who admitted that it was indeed his fault that the accident occurred.

PM Modi said, “That is a big thing, you did not give an excuse, like there was a ditch etc…” When asked about that tough phase of life, Pant remarked that it was anything but normal for the youngster. Pant reckons every day was a tough day but even in that dark phase, PM Modi’s regular updates and Rishab’s mother’s optimism helped him pull through in the end.
