New Delhi: The second season of Legends League Cricket, is just one game away from getting their new champions, as the journey of the defending champions India Capitals finished in the qualifier 2 against the Manipal Tigers.
Manipal Tigers will now face the Urbanrisers Hyderabad in the finals on Saturday, December 9.
Earlier, in the qualifier 2, the Manipal Tigers took on the defending champions India Capitals at the Lalabhai Contractor Stadium in Surat on Thursday.

Manipal Tigersβ skipper Harbhajan Singh won the toss and opted to bowl first.

India Capitals started in an attacking manner but soon lost their grove and were reduced to 68 for 4 after 8 overs.
Kevin Pietersen (56) and Ben Dunk (28), stabilized the innings during the middle phase, and with the help of Isuru Udana (26*), the Capitals finished their innings on a high with 177 on the board.

Mitchell McClenaghan and Thisara Perera took 3 wickets each, while Pankaj Singh took one wicket, for the Tigers.
In reply, Tigers, with the collective efforts from Chadwick Walton (33), Angelo Perara (35), Asela Gunaratne (39*) and Colin de Grandhomme (38*), chased down the target with 6 wickets and 8 balls to spare.
For the Capitals, Fidel Edwards, Isuru Udana, Dilhara Fernando and Ishwar Pandey took one wicket each.
This brings the defending championsβ journey to and, with a new champion guaranteed to be crowned on December 9.
