Mohammad Rizwan’s comments sparks fresh controversy as Pak make an early World Cup exit…

New Delhi: Pakistan cricket team seems to find itself in a whirlpool of controversies! A recent video has come out in public where angry Pakistani fans were going head-to-head in a nasty squabble with Pakistan’s premier fast bowler. In a heated argument which has come up on the X (formerly Twitter), a fan was seen criticising and hurling abuses towards Rauf. Subsequently, the fan went overboard and hit out at Rauf with personal abuse which angered Rauf.

Many international cricketers from Pakistan have come out in support of Rauf on their official X (formerly Twitter) accounts to criticise the fans’ supercharged reactions. Amidst all of this Mohammed Rizwan has posted an enigmatic and controversial post which has sparred a fresh set of controversy.

According to the Indian fans, the mention of ‘India’ is unnecessary in this situation. It is an internal issue which can be resolved without bringing Team India into the equation.

How did the netizens react?

Former cricketer Ahmad Shahzad who has been the talk of the town for his alleged criticism of Babar Azam has also come out in support of Rauf. In his post Shahzad remarked:

The underlying thing amidst this entire controversy is that fans should know the unpredictability that a game like cricket brings. It is an open secret that the game has a high dose of sentimental value amongst the fans of subcontinent teams like India, Pakistan or Bangladesh. However, one cannot expect the results to always go in favour of you when you are winning.

Furthermore, as fans people cannot be a support system like a seasonal bloom i.e. whenever the team is winning they are there to cheer. As fans, one must realise that it is in times like these that their active support is required more than ever!
