New Delhi: After winning the Diamond League finals in Zurich, India’s golden boy Neeraj Chopra is holidaying in Switzerland. He was recently seen skydiving in a video shared by the athlete. Neeraj is relaxing as he will not be participating in the National Games and will be seen on the field next year.
In the video, the javelin thrower can be seen skydiving with an instructor. He shared the video on his Instagram handle along with Switzerland Tourism and wrote, “Sky is not the limit!” The video shows him arriving at the location, entering the plane and then diving off the sky.
This is not the only adventure sport Neeraj is indulging in. In another social media post, Neeraj was seen at Jungfraujoch, which is called the Top of Europe, covered in snow and with his javelin. He not just posed with his spear, but he also performed a throw in the snow. He is surely elated after the historic victory and as he says, he is having ‘the holiday of a lifetime.’
After winning the gold medal in Tokyo, winning silver in World Athletics Championships in Oregon and winning the Diamond Trophy after coming back from an injury, he surely deserves some relaxation and fun.
As Anderson Peters was missing the finals in Zurich due to an injury, Neeraj was the favourite to win it. He started off with an invalid throw but came back strong with an 88.44 m throw in his second attempt. His third attempt went 88 m which showed how strong he was that day when people touched the 80 m with struggle. He got some competition from Jakub Vadlejch and Julia Weber, who threw 86.94 m and 83.73 m as their best throws respectively.
