New Delhi: After a nerve-wracking T20I series concludes, Sri Lanka and New Zealand are set to commence the ODI series on 13th November at the Dambulla stadium. Led by Charith Asalanka, the Sri Lanka national cricket team will look to return to winning ways after losing the second T20I against New Zealand by five runs in a low-scoring thriller in Dambulla on Sunday.
Earlier, Sri Lanka won the opening T20I by four wickets as the two-match T20I series ended 1-1. Wicketkeeper-batter Kusal Perera and seamer Mohamed Shiraz have made a comeback to Sri Lanka’s ODI squad for the New Zealand series. Meanwhile, Chamindu Wickramasinghe has retained his place in Sri Lanka’s ODI squad.
On the other hand, the New Zealand national cricket team will once again be led by Mitchell Santner. Wicketkeeper-batter Mitch Hay and all-rounder Nathan Smith have earned maiden call-ups to New Zealand’s 15-man squad.
