PV Sindhu Wins the first game of the Group M at the Paris Olympics 2024

New Delhi: PV Sindhu started her Paris 2024 campaign with a straight-set win over Fathimath Nabaaha Abdul Razzaq from the Maldives. Sindhu who is coming into the game after an average 23/24 season will look to win the gold medal after missing out during the Rio 2016.

A smiling Sindhu remarked after the match “I am taking one match at a time”. It was a remarkable comeback for Sindhu who is returning to the Court after a year-long injury. In the closing remarks, Sindhu thanked the entire support staff as well as Prakash Padukone who had helped her regain her confidence.

Sindhu started off the proceedings over the Maldivian shuttler in style to wrap up the proceedings in style within 29 minutes. It was a cakewalk for the experienced Indian shuttler who won with a scoreline of 21-9 and 21-6. Sindhu’s cross-court shots and sideline shots were too much for the young Maldivian to handle.
