Apart from his Olympic exploits, the 32-year-old archer also won the Asian Games on two occasions 2010 and 2018. Furthermore, he also has won the Hyundai Archery World Cup Final three times- in 2012, 2017 and 2018. Interestingly, Woo-Jin is the first archer in the history of archery to hit 700 points for the 72 arrows 70m qualification. Kim overtook the previous record of 699 which was also set by his countryman Im Dong Hyun.

Greatest of all TIME!

The Korean archer has already won the men’s team medal on three occasions: Rio 16, Tokyo 20 and Paris 24. However, the Korean Archer is on the verge of scripting history as he can become the first archer to win five Olympic gold and thereby can be touted as the greatest of all time.

Not only that, Kim can surpass even the record of legendary women like Soo-Nyung, Park Sung-Hyun and Ki Bo Bae. Another interesting feat that Kim can achieve in Paris is that he can become the first Korean archer to get three gold medal in a single Game after An San.

With another medal match on the cards, the possibilities of Kim winning yet another medal increases manifolds. After defeating the current world no. 1 Marcus D’Almeida, Kim is even more confident and is in touching distance of achieving greatness for his country and his career. With so much potential up at his sleeves, the question that remains is can we see Kim scripting yet another story at Los Angeles.
