New Delhi: Indian skipper Rohit Sharma provided an update on Rishab Pant in the post-match conference of the 1st Test between India and New Zealand in the ongoing test series. The left-hand batsman is making a comeback in cricket after the devastating accident in December 2022.
Subsequently, Pant underwent surgery on his knees after the accident during the rehabilitation time. Now, in an unfortunate incident, the left-hander has hurt the same knee during the Bengaluru test which was operated on after the accident.

Subsequently, in the post-match conference, the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma provided an update:
He’s had a massive operation on his leg, so we all know what he went through…It’s just to be a little careful about where he is at and what he is to us. Even when he was batting, he was not comfortably running. He was trying to only put the ball in the stands…
Furthermore, Rohit Sharma also lauded the wicket-keeper batsman Rishab Pant for his excellent and aggressive knock against the Kiwis. Pant missed out on a well-deserved century by just a solitary run in the second innings. Meanwhile, Team India slumped to a shocked rare defeat against the Kiwis back at home. Interestingly, it is just the fifth time India has lost at home in a Test since 2012, with Australia and England the previous teams to have done so, two times apiece.
