New Delhi: With polling coming to close in Rajasthan and Telangana, the Exit poll numbers are out.
Going by figures, Madhya Pradesh is going down the wire with BJP and Congress engaged in neck-and-neck contest.
According to India Today-Axis My India exit polls, the BJP is likely to get 102-122 seats with 40% vote share while Congress is set to bag 104-122 seats with 41% vote share.
In Chhattisgarh, BJP may have reason to cheer
According to Times Now-CNX Exit poll results, the BJP is set to gain control over 46 seats while Congress will have to settle with 35 seats. The BSP-JCC (Ajit Jogi’s party) alliance is seen spoiling Congress chances by blocking 7 seats. BJP’s seat share is seen falling down from 49 to 46, still it is heading towards clear majority.
Congress projected to sweep Rajasthan
According to both Axis My India-India Today and Times Now-CNX exit polls, Rajasthan is going the Congress way. The grand old party is heading towards a clear majority and is likely to sweep the state.
Congress is projected to win 105 seats while the BJP is expected to win 85 seats, BSP – 2, Others – 7.
TRS likely to retain Telangana
In Telangana, caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s decision to call for snap polls may help the TRS clinch victory, while one survey has predicted a Congress win.
