New Delhi: Devendra Fadnavis on Friday resigned as the chief minister of Maharashtra.

Fadnavis resigns

He was accompanied by senior state ministers to the governor house.

With no government formation in sight, the term of the existing Maharashtra assembly is set to expire on Saturday.
