Maharashtra assembly polls: 43.78% voter turnout till 3 PM, Gadkari predicts victory for BJP-Shiv Sena

The electoral fate of over 3237 candidates in Maharashtra will be sealed in EVMs by the voters who will exercise their democratic franchise in the assembly elections.

New Delhi: Voting for 288 constituencies of Maharashtra has begun from 7 am and will continue till 6 pm in the evening. The BJP-Shiv Sena alliance is fighting to win all of Maharashtra’s 288 Assembly seats, where for the first time, BJP is contesting on more number of seats than the Shiv Sena.

The electoral fate of over 3237 candidates in Maharashtra will be sealed in EVMs by the voters who will exercise their democratic franchise in the assembly elections.

Maharashtra Assembly elections, 40,000 police personnel are deployed in Mumbai and drones are being used for surveillance as part of security arrangements. Maharashtra police will also maintain strict vigil throughout the state with its personnel deployed for election duties in all districts along with home guards, companies of CAPF and CRPF for the polling day.
