Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Thursday took swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the issue of China's move to block the UN Security Council resolution to designate Jaish-e Mohammed chief Masood Azhar a global terrorist.

India cannot have a dialogue with Pakistan unless the neighbouring country takes action against terror groups operating from its soil, External Affair Minister Sushma Swaraj has said.

India’s bid to get Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed's chief Masood Azhar as a "global terrorist" by the UN Security Council was once again blocked by China as it placed a “technical” hold on the resolution on Wednesday.

State Department Deputy spokesperson Robert Palladino said China's Opposition to the move goes against the mutual interest in achieving regional stability and peace.

Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar meets the criteria to be designated as a global terrorist and not doing so is against regional stability and peace, the US said Tuesday on the eve of the UN Security Council making a crucial decision in this regard.

Mudasir Ahmed Khan alias 'Mohd Bhai' is suspected to have arranged the vehicle and explosives used in the suicide attack on February 14, which left 40 CRPF personnel martyred.

Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to tell the nation that it was the BJP government which released terror outfit JeM chief Masood Azhar from the Indian jail.

India on Saturday hit out strongly against Pakistan in the wake of developments post the Pulwama terror attack in which 40 CRPF soldiers died. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar, said, "A 'naya Pakistan' should show 'naya action' against terror groups."

Jammu and Kashmir police said the person who threw grenade has been arrested. According to police, he is a Hizbul Mujahideen operative and had reached Jammu from Kulgam this morning.

"I have always said that JeM is a terror organisation and they tried to assassinate me in a suicide attack at Jhanda Chichi in Rawalpindi in 2003", said Pervez Musharraf.
