New Delhi: Popular action mobile game Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) has made its return to India and is available for download and play. Indian authorities have allowed developer Krafton to resume their operations with the game and it has been launched with a 2.5 update. The game returned to India after a ban of about a year and this time with certain restrictions on the playtime.
There are different playtime restrictions for adults and users under the age of 18 years. Currently, users can log in in phases which means, not all users can play the game at a certain point in time. These restrictions and phase-wise log-in have made it difficult for players to access the game.
Krafton decided to promote responsible gaming practices and has set a playtime of three hours for minors while adults can access the game for six hours per day. Parental verification is also mandatory for minors.
If you are facing a server issue or it is showing “rollout in phases”, here are the steps to access the game and get back to playing:
- Turn off your mobile internet. Also, the game should not be operating in the background while you do so.
- Open BGMI.
- The game will ask you to turn on the internet.
- Turn on your mobile internet.
- Login via social media platform or Play Games ID.
Note: These steps might not always work and the players might have to wait as the game is still in its phase-wise log-in setup.
Krafton made the announcement on May 19 and the android users can download the game from Google Play while iOS users can download the game from Apple Play Store from May 29 onwards. The developers have also introduced a new map with some new features and weapons in the latest update.
