Grand finale of Smart India Hackathon on March 30-31

New Delhi: Grand Finale of Smart India Hackathon 2018 – Software edition will be held on 30th and 31st of this month simultaneously at 28 different nodal centers across the country.

The Hackathon, which was launched in October last year in Pune, aims to harnesses creativity and expertise of students, builds funnel for – Startup India, Standup India campaign, crowdsources solutions for improving governance and gives opportunity to citizens to provide innovative solutions to India’s daunting problems.

Ministry of Communication in a release said, during the grand finale to be held in Panipat (Haryana), teams of thousands of technology students will build innovative digital solutions for problems posed by different central government Ministries and departments.

The Ministry said, Smart India Hackathon 2018 will be the second massive scale hackathon initiative in the country following Smart India Hackathon 2017.

Winners will get cash prizes and a chance to be part of the NASSCOM’s ten thousand Startups program.
