How to register for a new Aadhar card online? A step-by-step guide to receive a New Aadhar Card Print

New Delhi: An Aadhar Card is one of the key documents without which you will be barred from every important activity like applying for a Passport, bank transactions, international money transfers, opening a new bank account, registering for a PAN card etc. The Aadhar card has your entire information like your original date of birth, your address and the biometric data. Now you can imagine, that losing an important document like this will be harmful and will land you in trouble everywhere. You will be restricted from performing your financial transactions, using your debit or credit card etc.

Today we’ll tell you some simple steps that you can follow if you lose your Aadhar Card:

The UAIDI Service Portal helps you in receiving your Aadhar number and perform your daily transactions. You have to visit the portal, then click on ‘generate Aadhar Card copy’ and fill in your 12-digit enrollment number which is printed in your Aadhar card. You will have to submit your name, date of birth and the 12 digit number.

Visit the UIDAI Self Service Portal

Now select the option that you want to fill

Now enter your name, registered e-mail and registered mobile number

The click on the download Aadhar option and click on that

Now enter your name, pin code of your residential address and the captcha code

Now click on the ‘Get one time password’ option and after this enter the OTP that you have received on your cell phone as a text message.

If the OTP is verified, you will be able to take a print out of your Aadhar card.

You can also call on the number 1800-180-1947 to retrieve your Aadhar card. This helpline number works seven days a week from 7am to 10pm.

After calling on this number listen to the instruction on IVR and choose the right option to retrieve your Aadhar card.
