Captain Vikram Batra was green belt holder in Karate and played tennis in national level level

Captain Vikram Batra was a deep patriotic and always wanted to join the army

After completing the bachelor’s he started preparing for Combined defence service exam

In 1996, his dream was fulfilled when he cleared the CDS examination and joined the Indian Military Academy where he was commissioned as a lieutenant

He was awarded NCC (Air Wing) of India

Captain Vikram Batra was selected to join the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun in the Jessore Company of Manekshaw Battalion in 1996, and was commissioned into 13 JAK Rifles

He was promoted to captain during Kargil in 1999

During Kargil he got the name of  Sher Shah

What a great legend he was
